Abstract
Myoclonus is a hyperkinetic movement disorder described as short, rapid, irregular, and involuntary jerks. Myoclonus can occur due to a wide variety of causes. In this case, a good classification is necessary to provide a more effective and easy approach. Myoclonus is classified according to its anatomical origin, triggering factors, or other clinical and electrophysiological features. Classification of myoclonus physiology using electrophysiological test findings also helps to identify the pathophysiology of myoclonus and can be used to determine the strategies for symptomatic treatmen
