Abstract

The freezing phenomenon, encountered in two different clinical situations with or without response to dopaminergic treatments, is a significant debilitating symptom that adversely affects the daily life activities of Parkinson’s patients. In this review, clinical features, differential diagnosis, classification, and pathophysiology of this motor phenomenon are presented to assist clinicians in deciding on possible treatment interventions.
