Abstract

Limitations in medical treatment of dystonia caused the emergence of other surgical treatments in the last 10 years, especially deep brain stimulation. In this article, we reviewed surgical treatment methods applied particularly in secondary dystonia, improvement rates and the side effects observed. We also referred to the positive experience of our team with thalamotomy/campotomy surgery.
