Abstract

Acute cerebellitis is an inflammatory syndrome characterized by the acute onset of cerebellar signs and symptoms such as ataxia, nystagmus, and dysmetria. Since the start of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, a significant number of patients with neurological symptoms due to COVID-19 have been reported. In this paper, a 50-year-old male patient diagnosed with acute cerebellitis and ataxia due to COVID-19 infection and who responded to steroid treatment was presented in the light of current literature. Isolated acute cerebellitis and ataxia is a rare manifestation of COVID 19, and since clinically suspected patients respond well to pulse steroid therapy, clinicians should keep this neurological picture in mind.
